Obituary for Glenn Moore

Glenn Moore
Glenn Calvin Moore, 84, beloved husband of Dolores Moore, passed on Sunday, September 9,2018 at home. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His humor, wit, and stories were enjoyed by many and his kind and grateful spirit will remain in our hearts.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his children, Bryan (Sallie) Moore of San Diego, CA and Linda (David) Dara of Greenville, SC, grandchildren, Zachary Moore, Daniel, Hannah, Amanda, and Benjamin Dara, and many dear nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his son, David Moore.

Glenn was born in Pittsburg, Kansas to Glenn Calvin and Edith Arita Moore and was raised in Kansas and Missouri. Soon after moving to California as a young man, he met his 'bride', Dolores and the two shared a lifetime of love and adventure. His two years in the US Air Force and career with AT&T provided him with many stories and memories he loved to share. But, it was time with his family he valued most, such as family road trips, train travel and square dancing with Dolores, woodworking with grandson, Zach, and attending recitals and games of his grandchildren in South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at Devenger Road Presbyterian Church on Saturday, 22, 2018 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Devenger Road Presbyterian Church, 1200 Devenger Road, Greer, SC 29650 or Meals on Wheels Greenville 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605.
